Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, eyelift surgery, or double-eyelid surgery, is a minimally invasive surgical treatment that may be done for cosmetic, health, or functional reasons. Excess skin and fat are removed from the eyelids during blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery, and the skin around the eyelid is tightened. Upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both may be treated with blepharoplasty. During the consultation, the type of surgery, technique, location of surgery, and other variables are discussed and decided. Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery can then be tailored to meet the requirements and demands of the patient.
